Reasons to be Pretty

A love story about the impossibility of love, ‘reasons to be pretty’ introduces us to Greg, who really, truly adores his girlfriend, Steph. Unfortunately, he also thinks she has a few physical imperfections - “Maybe Steph’s face is just regular, but I wouldn’t trade it for a million bucks”.
Centering on four working class friends and lovers who become increasingly dissatisfied with their dead-end lives and each other, ‘reasons to be pretty’ opens during the final moments of Greg and Steph's tumultuous four-year relationship with what is probably the most intense, expletive-driven, flesh-searing argument seen on stage.
A random, unintentional comment about Steph’s attractiveness sets her on a tirade of four-letter words. Greg, chronically suffering from foot-in-the-mouth disease, only enrages Steph further with his non-answers and rationalizations.
